How to register in the myWaitrose loyalty program?

| Published | LAST UPDATED .

myWaitrose loyalty program is a customer loyalty program of Waitrose & Partners. It is a large British supermarket chain, offering a wide assortment of groceries and convenience products. We described the loyalty program in detail on the myWaitrose Loyalty scheme page. Like many other programs, myWaitrose requires registration and transfer of rights to process your personal data.

Why should I register for myWaitrose loyalty program?

In order to enjoy all the benefits of the myWaitrose loyalty program you need to register for the program. It's not hard. There are two ways to register:

  • At www.waitrose.com
  • In the myWaitrose app.

How to register on the website waitrose.com?

Registering for the myWaitrose loyalty program takes two steps - first you need to create an account on the website waitrose.com, then create your myWaitrose account by linking (or issuing) a discount card.

The myWaitrose card is available in both plastic and digital form. The plastic card is sent by mail to the mailing address specified during registration. That's why it takes a long time to make a plastic card - a few days or even weeks. To avoid waiting so long, it's easier to issue a digital card and use it from your smartphone. The digital card is issued immediately and you can start using it right away. It will also be more environmentally friendly as it will reduce the use of plastic.

To sign up for the myWaitrose program you need to fill in an application form on the website or in the app.

If you don't have an account on the site, the first thing you should do is create one.

On the web-site the registration form is located here

You need to enter your first and last name, country of residence and address (including zip code), and phone number.

Then you'll need to enter your email address and come up with a password. Agree (or disagree) to receive the mailing from Waitrose.

Done. Your myWaitrose account has been created. You can link a card to your account if you already have one.

Your myWaitrose digital card appears in the "Card and Details" section of your myWaitrose account. It is automatically applied to online orders. Scan the barcode at the in-store checkout using your cell phone or open the app and access your card at the checkout even if you're not connected to the Internet.

Additional benefits from registering a Waitrose card

A registered Waitrose card can bring you additional benefits. For example, you can earn Nectar points (Britain's other biggest loyalty scheme) by taking part in the Daily Mail Rewards Club loyalty scheme. Read more about MyMail Rewards rules here.

At Waitrose, you can get a copy of the Daily Mail for free by simply presenting your MyWaitrose card when making a purchase of £10 or more. The unique number on the back of the paper gives you the chance to earn Nectar points which can be spent at over 500 different Sainsberry's shops (we wrote about how to use rewards at Sainsberry's here). The points will be credited to your Nectar loyalty card. It's easy to get and register the card (we wrote about registering the Nectar card here).
